Cankermelts-GX now sold at Happy Harry's Discount Drugs
BELLEVUE, WASH (April 5, 2005) – Orahealth USA, Inc. announced today that Cankermelts-GX, a new treatment that heals canker sores in 1 – 4 days is now available at Happy Harry’s Discount Drugs. Introduced last summer, Cankermelts debuted online at Amazon.com and in retail stores in Washington State, quickly becoming the best selling product for the treatment of canker sores.
Canker sores are acutely painful sores that appear inside the mouth. For some, they are an isolated annoyance that appears infrequently. For others, however, canker sores cause intense, persistent pain that is impossible to ignore and can last two weeks or more, interfering with eating, drinking and talking. Unlike cold sores, which occur outside the mouth, are caused by the herpes virus and are contagious, canker sores are not contagious -- they are similar to allergies. Though rarely discussed, canker sores afflict over fifty million Americans, or 20 percent of the population recurrently.
The product was invented by Jeff Haley, a successful patent attorney with degrees in law, chemistry, and engineering who set out to cure his own canker sores. “I tried every product available. They were difficult to apply, tasted terrible and at best, they merely numbed or covered my sores. Nothing I tried reduced the actual healing time. I told myself that a better solution had to exist and became determined to find it.”
After testing more than 250 different formulas over the course of two years of extensive research, Haley developed Cankermelts-GX. “Cankermelts-GX is the only non-prescription product available that heals canker sores, relieves pain and is easy to use. The active ingredient in Cankermelts is Glycyrrhiza herbal extract (GX). GX has been found in clinical observations and double blind comparisons to shorten healing time to less than four days, typically one day on a new sore, and relieve pain within 10 minutes. Using any other product or nothing at all, sores usually take seven to fourteen days to heal. The product also effectively heals other ordinary mouth ulcers, including denture sores and sores that develop from braces or biting your lip or cheek.
Cankermelts’ patented delivery system, also invented by Haley, is a medicated disc, slightly smaller than a dime, that adheres (within one to two minutes) inside the mouth on or near the sore. As the time-released medicine is delivered, the disc naturally dissolves over two to six hours. Cankermelts can be used comfortably during any normal activity including sleeping and exercising, and do not interfere with normal functions such as swallowing, chewing or talking.
